Please join us for the fourth annual Super Fair of Centre County Resources to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, at Nittany Mall in State College. With the new location for this years’ Super Fair, things are bigger, better and even more SUPER than last year!
For those who haven’t heard of or attended in the past, the Super Fair is designed to create a one-stop event for all ages and needs, with information that shows the community how agencies help each other, how you can help the community, and to understand a bit more all that Centre County has to offer! The Fair is a fun, relaxed and informative event.
The Super Fair is made possible by generous sponsorships from the following:
Ameriserv Bank
CATA
Centre County Council of Human Services
Coventry Health Care, an Aetna Company
Home Nursing Agency
PA Link to Aging and Disability Resources
The Centre County Gazette
Wynwood House, Personal Care Homes
In Centre County, we are fortunate to have resources, services and agencies that are committed to helping the community.
Information and entertainment sessions will be held starting at 10 a.m. in the Active Adult Center located near Sears and Auntie Anne’s Pretzels. Information sessions include presentations on Veterans Services, APPRISE (Medicare Counseling), legal information, Centre Volunteers in Medicine, and the HOPE Initiative. From 1pm to 2pm, also at the Active Adult Center, Jane Jantzer-Wilson will be leading a healthy cooking class!
With Nittany Mall having great space for entertainment, the Super Fair is also offering the following at Center Stage:
10a.m. Mount Nittany Middle School Rising Stars
11a.m. The A’capella group from St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy
Noon State College Suzuki Program
1:15p.m. Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop
At the Dunham’s court, Home Depot will be having their Kids Workshop with a variety of projects available.
More than 100 agencies will be represented at the event. Many of the vendors will be providing a variety of health-related screenings, giveaways and fundraisers, along with their information.
Additionally, the Salvation Army will be having a coat drive (bring your gently worn coats to donate!)
From birth to aging, in-home services to residential and living facilities, community nonprofit agencies, medical agencies, basic needs and community connections; we believe everyone will find something new about our great community. A guide provided by The Centre County Gazette will be available at the event and throughout the county as a continued resource.
The Super Fair Committee truly believes everyone is a super hero. Whether donating time, contributing to an agency, or simply helping someone else get the much needed assistance they need we want you to know that you are our Super Hero. On October 7th, come meet hundreds more super heroes in our community. With so much to see and do, we look forward to meeting you at this super event! Don’t miss it!
